List of Persian/Iranian Events for 2003-12-21

Where: San Mateo Library

The Persian Library Committee at the San Mateo Public
Library is planning a special educational event to
share our Yalda traditions with the broader San Mateo
community. On Sunday, December 21, 2003 from 2:00 -
4:30 PM the Library will present Persian music,
poetry, and a presentation on the many rituals and
traditions of our Yalda celebration. This event will
be held at the San Mateo Public Library at 1100 Park
Place in our new Event Lobby on the ground floor.

We are looking for business or individual sponsors to
help us make this event a real community celebration.
A tax deductible donation this educational event will
highlight local merchants and directly contribute to
the further expansion of the Persian Collection in the
New San Mateo Library. Please see the Sponsorship
