"Reading Lolita in Tehran" by Azar Nafisi (2003).
An Iranian professor, now in the United States, recounts her experience teaching foreign literature to women in Iran after the Islamic Revolution. She shows how classics of Western literature related to and had significance to her students. Why did they find "Lolita" so relevant to their lives?
