Payvand and the Iranian Federated Women's Club (IFWC) announce and invite
the general public to their Eighth Annual Arts and Cultural Festival at the Cupertino
Quinlan Community Center on Sunday, September 26, 2004. Festivities begin at 11 a.m. This one-day, all-day public festival and fundraising event is a great opportunity to
familiarize the community with Iran's elegant, diverse and exotic culture and heritage.
The event will consist of various community activities, such as dance, music, poetry, arts and crafts, book signings, art gallery, and face painting—all accompanied by delicious authentic Persian cuisine.
Payvand and IFWC are non-profit organizations that serve and empower young Iranian
Americans to pursue their education, become self-reliant and confident citizens.
The Payvand cultural and arts school provides students with a myriad of opportunities
to learn English and Persian, traditional and contemporary dance and music, art and
other activities that draws from Iranian and American culture.

Payvand and IFWC are local, non-profit, nonpolitical and non-religious organizations. Their mission is to integrate and empower the Iranian community, to promote arts and culture in the Bay Area by bringing educational services, scholarships and various cultural activities to the community.
