The AVAZ International Dance Theatre, founded in 1977, is the oldest
organization representing Iranian culture in the United States. During
the dark days of the hostage crisis, and in the wake of 9/11, AVAZ has
presented the positive face of the Iranian community to the world.
Now, for the first time, as AVAZ is fighting for its existence due to major
state budget cuts, it is time for those who are concerned about
Iranian Arts and Culture to support the AVAZ International Dance Theatre.
