A Parenting talk: "“Raising Sexually Healthy Children in a Different Culture”
Bay Area - South Bay Saturday - June 25, 2005 10:00 AM
A talk given by: Dolat Bolandi, M.A.
Raising children in today’s Western culture is very challenging. These challenges have many unique flavors for immigrant and/or bi-cultural families where parents have grown up in cultures with very different values.
This short talk in Persian will visit the different aspects of healthy sexuality, children’s development, and the influence of the culture. We will discuss ways to create an environment where children can grow in today’s over-sexualized culture in a healthy way while passing on the family values.
