You are cordially invited to an insightful evening with Goli Ameri.



On Thursday June 30, Ameri will discuss “Human Rights in the Middle East and its Key Challenges”.



She recently served as one of three U.S. public delegates appointed by President Bush to 61st United Nations Commission on Human Rights. The Commission met in Geneva, Switzerland during spring 2005. She will share her experience and perspective on effectiveness as well as challenges of UN in protecting and promoting human rights in the Middle East.



Graduate of Stanford, with keen interest in world-wide democratic movements, she co-founded Iran Democracy Project at Hoover Institution, examining conditions and prospects for democracy in Iran. She has also been a long-time supporter of Democracy and Rule of Law project at Institute for International Studies at Stanford University.
