    Seyed Alavi
    is known as one of the Bay Areas most respected makers of public art and is also known for his work with students.  He has created site-specific installations for The New Museum of Contemporary Art; The University Art Museum- Cal State Long Beach; San Francisco?s Capp Street Project and many others.  He has also been a visiting artist at Kyoto Seika w:st="on">University in Kyoto, Japan, and the California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, California.

    • Directions to MFA Graduate Studios:



    From Interstate 80, exit at Richards Boulevard, proceed north through the tunnel, and turn left onto First Street. Drive past the B Street three-way intersection. The closest parking will be in Parking Lot #6. Heading west on First Street past the Aggie Inn and Parking Lot Number 10, turn left onto A Street and continue to Hutchison Drive, where you will turn right. Just before the barrier closing Hutchison to traffic, turn left onto Cushing Way, a winding, two-lane street that runs behind Wright Hall, along the arboretum. Continue on Cushing Way to Parking Lot Number 6, just south of the Art Building.     
               Student Graduate Studios is the building across the parking lot from Art Building
