List of Persian/Iranian Events for 2006-07-20

It is with great pleasure to announce that Mr. Akbar Ganja, the famous Iranian investigative journalist and political activist, will give a speech at Georgetown University on July 21, 2006. The Department of Sociology and Anthropology has sponsored the event as a service to the Iranian community in our area. The topic of the discussion concerns “Model of a democratic republic in contrast with that of a constitutional Islamic state and/or a constitutional monarchy”.
Mr. Ganji will also deliver a shorter on Human Rights to the English speaking audience on Thursday July 20 at Healy Building located at Riggs library at Georgetown University. The public is free to attend both or either events.
Georgetown University calls upon the Iranian community of greater Washington DC area to accredit this program by their attendance.

Georgetown University’s main entrance is situated at 37 street between P and Q in Washington DC NW.
Attendants can park their vehicles either at a location near the university or at the university’s parking lot which can be accessed through the entrance via Prospect Avenue or Georgetown U parking lot via Canal road.
Attendants of the Gaston Hall gathering maybe able to get a discount on the price of parking. Please let the parking attendant know you are going to that function to qualify for the discount.
