Iranian & Kurdish Activists To Address Iraq War Conference in New York City: "The Bush Plan, What Happens Next?"
Hartford, Connecticut — On Saturday, January 20, 2007, Hooshang Amirahmadi, President of the American-Iranian Councial, Pary Karadaghi, Executive Director of Kurdish Human Rights Watch and Iranian author Nahid Rachlin will be the featured speakers at Iraq War Conference, “What Happens Next?” in New York City. The conference hosted by Independents Across America PAC and the U.S Iran Peace Project, will begin at 12:00 PM, at the Pomegranate Gallery, located at 133 Greene Street in New York City.
Webster Brooks, Editor of the U.S. - Iran Peace Project's website (www.usiranpeace.com) stated that “This conference comes at a critical juncture when President Bush and the two parties, have failed to articulate a coherent policy, or reach consensus about how to proceed in Iraq. Nontheless, they are moving forward with plans to approve a substantial troop surge, while ignoring recommendations to open talks with Iran and other nations in the region. This conference will explore a path to extricate America from the present crisis.
The U.S. Iran Peace Project is an Internet-based initiative advocating open dialogue and the normalization of relations between the U.S. and Iran. Independents Across America PAC, is a non-partisan Political Action Committee that supports independent candidates seeking public office.

Iranian-born keyboardist Mahan Esfahani returns to the Bay Area to inaugurate a new harpsichord recently completed by Brisbane's resident harpsichord builder Kevin Fryer. Currently a resident of Boston, Mr. Esfahani has been praised as a ''rising star'' (San Francisco Classical Voice) with the ''virtuosity of a master'' (Keyboard Magazine). Clearly one of the brightest stars of the next generation of Early Music specialists, Mr. Esfahani will delight audiences with repertoire of Elizabethan England, the Court of the Sun King, and J.S. Bach.
