Step into the world of the mystic when one of the oldest Sufi traditions presents A Sufi Celebration: Calling for the Beloved on Saturday, April 14, at UCLA. Glimpse the different reality of the Sufi Way through sample experiences of the traditional culture, poetry, music, and spiritual practices of Sufism. This exotic evening will include Sufi Zikr music- singing and chanting, presentations, poetry reading, slides of beautiful contemporary Sufi arts, crafts, and architecture, and demonstrations of the harmonizing exercise of Movazeneh. Sure to be a festive night filled with music, poetry, art, and love.
