Ervand Abrahamian (B.A., M.A., Oxford University; Ph.D. Columbia
University), an Armenian born in Iran and raised in England, is
distinguished professor of history at CUNY. He has published Iran
Between Two Revolutions, The Iranian Mojahedin, Khomeinism, Tortured
Confessions, and Inventing the Axis of Evil. He teaches at the CUNY
Graduate Center, and has taught at Princeton, New York University,
and Oxford University. He is currently working on two books: one on
The CIA Coup in Iran; and another, A History of Modern Iran, for
Cambridge University Press.
David Barsamian is a radio producer, journalist, author and lecturer.
He is the founder and director of Alternative Radio. He is the winner
of the ACLU's Upton Sinclair Award for independent journalism, the
2006 Rocky Mountain Peace and Justice Award and the Cultural Freedom
Fellowship from the Lannan Foundation. His latest books are Targeting
Iran with Noam Chomsky, Ervand Abrahamian, Nahid Mozaffari, What We
Say Goes and Imperial Ambitions with Noam Chomsky, Speaking of Empire
& Resistance with Tariq Ali Original Zinn with Howard Zinn. His works
include Propaganda and the Public Mind: Conversations with Noam
Chomsky; Eqbal Ahmad: Confronting Empire and The Decline and Fall of
Public Broadcasting.
Persheng Vaziri is an Iranian-American Film maker. She has recently
returned from a trip to Iran. Her films include Conversations in
Tehran - Discussions with Iranian authors and journalists Caught
Between Two Worlds - Iranians in Exile Women Like Us
