PERSEPOLIS opens on Friday January 11 in the Bay Area at the
Embarcadero, Aquarius, Shattuck, Rafael Center and Camera 7.
PERSEPOLIS is the poignant story of a young girl in Iran during the
Islamic Revolution. Winner of NY and L.A. Film Critics Awards for Best
Animated Film, nominated for the Golden Globe as Best Foreign Film,
winner of a Special Jury prize at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival,
presented at the 2007 Telluride and Toronto International Film
Festivals, Closing Night Film of the New York Film Festival, and the
French nominee for the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar category.

Written & Directed by: Marjane Satrapi and Vincent Paronnaud. Based on
the original graphic novels by Marjane Satrapi. With voices by: Chiara
Mastroianni, Catherine Deneuve, Danielle Darrieux and Simon Abkarian,
among others. Country of Origin: France. Original Language: French
