ICF Senior Citizens Gathering

The Iranian Cultural Foundation will soon commence its social and cultural services and programs such as the monthly gathering of the Iranian senior citizens.
ICF invites all Iranian senior citizens who reside in or are visiting the greater metropolitan Houston to join us for our first gathering on Wednesday, January 16, 2008, at the ICF main offices.
We like to hear your suggestions to plan our gatherings with your needs in mind.

Cover: $12 (includes 1 drink)
Hosted by PAF Founder Mona Kayhan, the event includes an open mic that is open to all who would like to read their favorite Iranian poetry or their own original work in Persian or English. This month's featured author is Roger Sedarat, Professor of English at Borough of Manhattan Community College, and winner of the 2007 Ohio University Hollis Summers Poetry Prize for his poetry manuscript, Dear Regime, in which he explores his family's relationship to Iran. Dear Regime has been praised by writers such as David Lehman, Kimiko Hahn and Nahid Rachlin, who said "Dear Regime is a stunning collection of poems that vividly captures all aspects of Iranian culture."
