    Film Screening at the A+D museum

    The Los Angeles Premier of Roxanne Varzi's film, "Plastic Flowers Never Die", is on Thursday January 24th at 6pm. The film is a documentary about mourning the Iran-Iraq War (1980-1988). It is being screened as part of NewFilmmakers series (an Anthology film archive, NYC and the A+D Architecture and Design Museum, L.A venture). The A+D museum is at 5900 Wilshire Blvd. Los Angeles CA 90036 across the street from LACMA. The entrance fee is only $5.

    Roxanne Varzi is a professor of anthropology at the University of California, Irvine. She is the author of "Warring Souls: Youth, Media, and Martyrdom in Post-Revolution Iran" published by Duke University Press, 2006. She has been published in the London Review of Books, The New York Press and is an award winning author of several short stories.
