Hashem Pesaran, an internationally acclaimed economist, will be
visiting the Hoover Institution on Wednesday, February 27, and will
talk about the Iranian economy in the twentieth century. The talk
will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the Lou Henry Hoover building, room 100,
on the Stanford University campus. The event and parking is free and
open to the public.

Know Your Rights: Helpful Information for the Iranian Community on Discrimination
When: February 27th, 2008 6pm - 8pm

What:
Come and learn about YOUR RIGHTS regarding harassment at the airport, employment discrimination, and FBI Interviews . Attorneys will be present to answer questions.

Why:
More than six years after 9/11, many immigrants, particularly those of Middle Eastern descent, still face discrimination such as harassment at the airport upon re-entry into the United States, FBI interviews, delayed naturalization applications, and unequal treatment at work. Certainly, with the recent rise in tension between the United States and Iran, Iranians of all generations are also subject to such discrimination. Asian Law Caucus has important information for the Iranian Community regarding YOUR RIGHTS!
