Iranian percussionist Emam leads a true world music band, with his Friends representing different countries and cultures. They have found a common ground in the uplifting dance music they make together, a global fusion that includes both traditional and original compositions from the Middle East, India, Eastern Europe, and Africa as well as American rock. Emam & Friends have issued six CDs and performed at major festivals from World Music to New Age. They have a lively approach to music, dedicated to lifting spirits through commonality.
