Dear Friends:

The Committee to Hold General Meeting of the Iranian Canadian Congress is pleased to announce that Sunday June 22nd 2008 is set for the First General Meeting of the Congress. It will be held at 3PM at North York Council Chamber.
In this event members of the Congress who are registered by May 22nd 2008(one month prior to GM), will elect 11 members of the first Board of Directors of the Ontario chapter.
Please mark your calendar and plan to attend this exciting event.
As you are aware success of this community organization depends on the active participation of its members. So please help with the following tasks:
-Assist with recruiting new members by approaching your friends, members of the family and acquaintances. Online membership process as well as membership forms are available at iccongress.ca under Membership tab.
-Nominate yourself, or someone you think is interested, for the board. Members who plan to stand for election, or nominate other member(s), should send their nomination letter along with a short Bio to gm@iccongress.ca prior to June 5th, 2008. Members who are nominated by other members should send their acceptance by the above deadline.
-Become a member of the election board and supervise the process. Election Board should be in place by June 5th. Contact us at gm@iccongress if you'd like to seat at the election board.

Just a quick reminder about important dates:
-GM, Sunday June 22nd, 2008 at 3PM.
-Deadline for registering as a candidate, June 5th 2008(2 weeks prior to GM).
