The Persian Students Association is proud to present its 14th annual cultural show: “Soul va Safah” (peace and happiness). “Soul va Safah” invites you to a magnificent event full of dance, music, poetry and comedy. Special guest comedian K-Von Moezzi is returning by popular demand, as he continues to share his brilliant and hilarious comedy. By celebrating the Persian New Year’s (Nowrûz), the cultural show is aimed at reminiscing with those who are familiar with the intricacies of the Iranian culture and educating those who are curious. We invite you to share a spectacular night of culture with the Michigan Iranian community. Also performing as special guests are the Iraqi Students Association and Latino Students Organization!

Chanticleer performance based on Dr. Majid Naini's selection and translation of Rumi Poetry

Award-winning American composer Shawn Crouch's new work, The Garden of Paradise will be performed once again by the Grammy award winning Chanticleer group. The piece is based on the poems of poet Brian Turner, an Iraq war veteran, whose moving accounts of the war are set along side the poetry of the Persian poet Rumi, as selected from among 80,000 lines of poetry and translated by the renowned Rumi scholar, Professor Majid M. Naini.
