Festival of the Silk Road - 2012 Year of the Dragon!

Afsaneh Art & Culture Society - Ballet Afsaneh presents a concert of Dance, Music & Poetry from Central Asia and the Silk Road.

Dance and musical guests unite to celebrate the rich cultural traditions of the Silk Road in an evening concert featuring performing arts from Iran, India, China, Turkey & Tajikistan. Pre-performance fun begins at 3:00pm with folk dancing, cultural exhibits and the Silk Road Bazaar with traditional clothing, art, and light refreshments.
A spectacular Chinese dragon will make a grand appearance during the evening concert to honor the Chinese Year of the Dragon.

Master Persian Percussionist Pezhham Akhavass, Ballet Afsaneh, Anuradha Nag - Tarangini School of Kathak Dance, Yore Turkish Folkdance Ensemble, the award-winning Chinese Performing Arts of America, Niosha Dance Academy, Zaryab Persian Music Ensemble with Neema Hekmat, Shahrzad Dance Company, Turkish Black Sea Music group with Aycan Yeter on tulum bagpipes .... and many more!
